App of the Week: NINE – A Visual To-Do and Reminder List
By Ideas Made Digital, available for iOS.
NINE is a photo-based list app, meaning you take photos to make your list. Each photo is then paired with text and put into an icon-based list. You can add a date and/or time-based reminder; recurring reminders are also supported. The app automatically adds a location to your entry. You can send your entries to other people via text message, email, Voxer, What’s App, Twitter, Facebook and more. You can also copy your entries into the Reminders app, the Notes app, Google Drive, Asana and others.
Alexa Skill that can help you stay on a diet.
As soon as the holidays are over through, this skill might be your new BFF. More pie? Pasta? Beer? Wine? Whatever you’re craving, this is the moment when a few words of support can make the difference. Enable the Talk Me Down skill and say, “Alexa, talk me down.” She’ll then say one of 31 canned phrases like, “Don’t give in to weakness,” “Fight for yourself. Defend your future.” Or, later when those cookie cravings come calling again, “You’re stronger than this. You’re smarter than this. You’re better than this.” Genius.
